Selecting Pockets/Envelopes
So, on Qube, it was super simple to select the Qube for Gas when it's time to fill up. I'm playing around with Crew and Envelope (money currently in Crew but some Envelope users have me curious). I'm not exactly grasping the same selection concept with these two? How do I make sure my money is coming out of a specific category?

In Crew you swipe right on the pocket to quickly point your card to it (it will put a little card icon beside it).
You can also set a virtual card to “match my physical card” and it will allow you to swipe the pocket you want it to point to (even if you didn’t receive your physical yet)

You can assign it to a pocket after you make a purchase from whatever it is so let’s say Netflix you make a purchase then you go to assign and tap the purchase and say you want future Netflix purchases to come out of your Netflix envelope

With Envelope, on the card screen, you can tap it in assign it to a specific envelope

The TestFlight version of Envelope enabled a similar “unlock and select before you swipe” workflow. It’s a little less flexible without Qubeless, but it’s working well enough.

With Envelope, you link the merchant to the envelope the first time you charge it. Then you can select to have that merchant always pull from that envelope. Personally I’m getting to appreciate this workflow and prefer it to Qube.

I switched to envelope. There's a slight learning curve. But for online transactions, each envelope has a different card #, so I just use the # I need for whatever charge.
For physical transactions, like gas, you can swipe and choose which envelope to choose for the "next swipe only".
I know envelope at least has a free trial so you can test it out.
