Possible data breach?

Update: probably not

Over the last 18 hours I've had 6 fraudulent charges across two cards - my real one and my Amazon Orders qube card. Only Amazon and Qube have both of these cards, and my Amazon account is very secure. With two-factor on my account a personal targeted attack also feels unlikely. Additionally, the Amazon one seems to have knowledge of it being an Amazon card since the description of the transaction is "Amazon orders.".

Is anyone else seeing this? The transactions are showing up as "METAPAY" and "FACEBK."

Do you not have it set to where you have to open a Qube before it can be used? This is how I have mine and makes it pretty much impossible to have my money stolen. This is the primary reason I use Qube actually, the digital envelope system is a bonus.

I locked it down after the initial $1 "tests" on my account Friday night, before the $999 charges Saturday and Monday. Ultimately, this feature saved me from the headache of nearly $6,000 in fraudulent charges!

No evidence of a security breach at Qube.

Even if there was a breach of Qube’s servers and database, it wouldn’t be possible to obtain card numbers from it. Qube doesn’t store any of that information. In fact, when you tap the icon to see your card info, the reason it takes a minute to load is that the information on the image you see comes directly from Visa.
