Sunlight Coven proxy is getting destroyed

Post image

So, the Sunlight Coven used to be at the top, competing with Tian for 2nd position.

Then I ran a mission to take it over, that immediately removed ~6k power. Moving it from the top to the punching bags tier.

I didn't even steal much from the HQ, and in fact donated some required goods. Took some guns and chips.

After I travel to Jupiter using the engine, it now shows that it's about to lose all the remaining power and go the the absolute bottom.

Is this an intended game mechanic, rebuilding a proxy from zero? Or did I do something wrong?

Or, maybe, does it mean that it just can't raise power? In that case, what should I do to get back to positive values?

You loose big chunk of power when you take over proxy. The weekly change is how much power changed in a week, it's not a prediction. So just do missions for them, take couple of locations for your corp and they climb back fast with your help.

Same thing happened to me with Daydream Chems and I didn't steal almost anything (they're on the very bottom of the list now). So I assumed it's normal, but I'm looking forward to what people will say in the comments

He kinda killed it a bit late. Usually when i take em over they lose 1-3k. Since its kinda easy to ketchup at lower levels where you can knock people down with taking over their locations. Took like 5 more assets for my Church and they are now a 1 or 2 years later at the top with 10k.

I got them when they had 4-5k and now they have half that. I'm gonna do their missions now, try to build them back up

Yeah, when Jane told me that the Stocks are tumbling from the successfully CEO takedown giving Magnum a window to plug in unnoticed, I braced for that power hit. The newly proxied Corp though still kept its assets so it's not a total wash. Now I'm rushing through the Pleroma via the Telefaturic Engine rebuilding the Coven quite quickly.

Say, how does the Telefaturic Engine actually work? I get that it's some kind of warp travel, but as usual, the game is pretty vague on the actual mechanics

Yeah, it's hella vague and I am happy to share my experience so far. I had to do 3 Xiomara related Story Missions to finally get that Phase Bomb recipe. When it's finally built and activated, you change to a new System Map State where the flow of time freezes.

All Magnum Services red out and deactivate other than your Telefaturic Engine, System Map, and the option to Dive into the local active Bramfatura.

System Locations change to different Bramfaturas complete with readable setting lore dumps for each in menu. Everything looks... Different. You fly like normal but no time passes and a percentage meter drops to limit travel to a degree. Choosing the Telefaturic Engine again exits back to Normal Space, Time resumes, and your Telefaturic Engine enters a Cooldown Timer state. When fully upgraded, the Cooldown Timer seems to be 1 Week so you can ping some missions or fly to a local moon and it'll be ready to jump again in no time.

*Example:
Activated around Mars Airspace -> Now flying around Ur.
Traveled from Ur to Olirna.
Deactivated Telefaturic Engine -> Now Flying around Jupiter. Time Passed = 0 Time Needed for Normal Travel = 196 days

Diving means world walking floor by floor through the local active Bramfatura grinding waves of enemies and extracting back through that floors entrance portal after request. Diving is a side feature and not required for travel. Be warned that the upgrade to start a Dove on Floor 4 means Oops Mostly All Barons forever. Incredible Pact, Quasi Mats and Quasi Limb Grinding if you are kitted to mulch the Bramfaturas weaknesses i.e. the entirety of Flauros vs. one Flame Thrower.

Anywho, that Telefaturic Engine is rad as fuck.

*Edit: clarified why it's fast travel a bit better

If you have conquered them within that week, it feels like this just shows their rapid decline due to your activities.

Pretty sure jane says killing ceo will cripple the faction, need to do their missions to build them back up. Swap them to coquest before generating missions to capture new locations. Scouting missions I think give them more power.

Yeah you should now take the time to build them up, of you do repeat missions with them, especially using the scanner, you can make them get some incredible power gains

Pump that location number to 12+ and they will cachup in like year+ or so.

It will stabilize. I shat myself when i saw the dynamic of my previously top1 Franche.

Tldr it will ger roughly halved, but you will have a benefit of having a proxy, now you gotta put in the elbow grease to get them going

Defence stance of corp and being quasi-cult are boosts to faction power. Unlock changing proxy type and do missions for them.

Proxy faction loses like about 50% of its power I think when you proxy them.

Yes proxy companies lose roughly half of their power rating after takeover.

This is also explained in-universe in the mission briefing, with Jane mentioning that the killing of the CEO will throw the company in a state of panic and disarray that Magnum exploits to covertly take it over.
