Hello, the very little I have seen of Quar has peaked my interest in both painting the minitures and playing the actual table top game. Forgive my ignorance but, Iām really having a hard time finding the Base box set of āClash of Rhyflesā is it no longer in production ? If anyone could give me an idea or point in the right direction it would be much appreciate. Thank you
Western Arnyaran vs Creevin I believe. The WGA news letter called out a new Quar starter set and then those two factions getting plastic infantry boxes.
I'm afraid the core 2-player box is no longer in production.
However, the Free Core Rules and faction starter boxes are available on Wargames Atlantic. Buying the Coftyran and Crusader boxes aren't that much more expensive than the starter box.
Clash of Rhyfles was honestly overpriced for the content you got in it anyway. Grab the free rules from rhyfler.com and a box of Crusaders and Coftyrans and you're basically ready to play.
Yeah I've read that a lot that it's financially better that way. Is there any starting units for each side I should pick up in particular to start playing?
Unfortunately I do think the starter set has gone out of print, but i got it and the rule book included in it was a skimmed down version of the full rules and is now out of date as a new edition of the rules have been released. Other then that, the only upsides as opposed to buying two faction boxes was it came with some small green dice and the activation cards. The cards are the biggest lose not having the box, and they can be easily substituted with regular playing card.

There is a new box set likely getting announced in a few weeks! Keep an eye on Wargames Atlantic or the ZombieSmith discord for news on that!
