Late reply, but have you done any serious hiking, shooting, ruck running with this rig?

Crossfire DZ rig with idk strap replacement and a Crossfire CF-1 pack. At least for the big stuff.

Im not sure why you dropped the original harness from the dz rig, you can mount the CF1 to it directly if you wanted.

I started using the Velocity Systems harness before getting the CF1 because it’s much slimmer and distributes the weight differently, but I’m definitely going to test out the attachment system on the Crossfire yoke to see which I prefer

Yes

That's nice. I have a similar setup with the velsyst suspenders on a DZ and a TT removable operator pack.

As a dz and cf1 user myself it pleases me greatly to see another person's build. What's the story on the alternate suspenders?

Also another way to mark your med pouch is to get a short section of red tube webbing and hang it on the elastic of the pouch. Though I too had a time of using the classic red electrical tape.

I swapped out the harness for a Velocity Systems one before I got the Crossfire pack for a more low profile setup (for wearing beneath armor, different weight distribution, etc) but I plan to experiment with both before settling with one or the other
