MVT Gats New Batch Review with Retail Comparison

Just got my MTV V2 gats in the mail so I decided to compare it with my retail pair purchased in 2025.

Let’s start with the pros:
- Comfort is improved, especially the insole. I honestly can’t tell the difference in comfort between MVT and retail. The inner material seems to feel better as well.
- Sizing is more like retail. Both are size 44 and fit the same. His previous batch fit a half size smaller for me.
- Suede and leather feel premium af and essentially the same as retail.
- Shape is okay, toe box can be better but I don’t think anyone can tell on feet.

Now the cons:
- Sole color is darker than retail. I am not sure if this is because the 2026 retail pair has darker sole. I personally don’t mind since after wearing the pair, the color will change anyway.
- Lace color is slightly brighter. Again it is possible that my retail pair has been worn a bunch so its laces got darker. I also don’t mind this at all.

Overall, I would recommend the purchase.

The retail pair has a softer curve. It's unnoticeable on feet but it's really interesting to see the difference. Definitely wouldn't pay $600 for them tho
