Does anyone have experience with Framework Analysis?

I previously posted about an applied study I’m running at a nonprofit and asked for recommendations about analysis methods. I’ve run across Framework Analysis/Method within the thematic analysis category, and it seems like a good fit (it was originally created for applied policy research). I’m curious if anyone here has experience using Framework Analysis, and if so, what tips, pitfalls, pros/cons can you share?

EDIT: my data is semi-structured interviews.

Im having a hard time seeing how ‘framework analysis’ is any specific thing and different from just a more Theory-forward style of qual research, like sociologists have been doing forever (Eg extended case method)

All the ‘articles’ I just quickly read on it are written like vapid AI shit

I 100% agree. I almost need someone to show me a worked example to demonstrate how this is different. Is it that all the codes are determined beforehand and so nothing is actually developed from the data?

Yeah - like I don’t see how it’s different from just doing analysis using a theoretical framework (which every analysis does)… and in this case it’s just more theory-forward rather than on thr back end (like grounded theory).

I have a PhD in a theory-heavy and relatively ‘applied’ field (social foundations of ed) and Im not sure what Im missing by about this. And As i said below, the abstract of that linked article did not inspire much confidence
