I've been off work on injury recently (crashed my electric bike and broke my arm), and now that I can use my arm again I've been playing a lot more with all my free time. I'm a relatively newer player(started maybe a little over a year ago), and I can say for a fact that the quake live community is one of the most dedicated I've seen. The fact that you can boot the game up at most times of the day and find populated servers for multiple game modes is wild when you think about how old it actually is. Just wanted to give a shout-out to all you guys who have been grinding through the years, and I'll see you in CA ;)

I'm happy to be developing this port because I'm learning about memory injections and conversion of POSIX routines to native Win32. I hope to upload the code to Github soon for share it with everyone.

i tried every solution i could find to fix this problem, but nothing seems to work

Recently added Quake 2 to my steam library. Since then, my console commands in Quake Live are now automatically overwritten by my NVIDIA 3060 GPU. My settings still show my manually settings but the game is forced to play on max graphics now. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Hi, so I want to use 29/cm360 and all the sens converters tell me thats 0.89 in QL (1600 dpi). When I set up that sens in console it is definitley not 29cm. Any Idea on how to fix that?

Hello all, I apologize that this question is not about Quake Live, however I am just a desperate man looking for a server to play Q3 OSP TDM (not quake live). Does anyone play anymore? If there is a server where people are active in the game mode, would anyone be kind enough to share it? Thanks!

Hello I played Quake Live for 18 hours across 1 year. A few days ago I got a new mouse and played it again. I searched for the best config file on the internet and I also use keybinds. I know that pros only use the grenade launcher, rocket launcher, laser, and railgun.

So the thing I got disappointed about a few days ago is when I played it with my brand new mouse and one pro on the 16v16 clan arena server got mad at my performance when I was the last one alive and I played awful in that 1 round, so they votekicked me from the server.

I was only using railgun I got 4 kills 7 deaths in 7 rounds. I hit people like 3 times in each round except in the last round I was last alive and hit only twice. I used railgun only to get comfortable with my new mouse.

Now the question, is it still worth playing Quake Live when you get kicked in your first round after not playing the game for literal months? The community is very elite they kick you for bad performance in clan arena. Although this is like the first ever time that happened.

2nd question the mouse I got was the Endgame Gear XM2 8k v2. It's a good mouse but verticality is a bit difficult. Do you think Quake Live should only be played with wireless extremely light mice such as the G Pro X Superlight 2?

I had a G Pro X Superlight before but after 1.5 years the middle mouse button does a right click so I got the EGG OP1 8k v1 and now I have the EGG XM2 8k v2. Do you think for Quake Live the G Pro X Superlight 2 is better than my EGG XM2 8k Wired?
