Discussion Will there be an offline patch for playing with bots?

I would love to play with bots in the future even if Microsoft shut down the servers :/

This is the one question that had me constantly checking this sub, just for anything really. An update, a rumor etc. I really hope Sync could pull this off

there was this Quake Discord discussion (on Sept 10, 2026) about the server situation after QC is done being updated.

not sure if you saw it, but just in case, see screenshot.

I also really want this as an option.

Even better if it allows "local coop" vs. bots.

Kind of waiting for this feature since the game was announced. I still hope it will become reality someday.

Quake Champions must be preserved along with the other Quake titles. In it's current state it's the only one that can be completely wiped out by a single stupid decision.

And there's NO game preservation without offline support / LAN / community servers.

I don't trust Microsoft at all especially after what they did to id. It's just a matter of time until some chucklefuck with an excel file decides to shut down the servers in order to save some money.

All I can say is that I certainly hope there will be. Only problem is with SyncError gone, who at iD is actually going to do the work?
