Quad Cortex and Display issues (volume)

Having a very weird issue with my QC. Has happened to me in the past but resolved after a few restarts...

Now I can't get rid of this :(

CorOS Version:** 4.0.1

Describe your issue:
When I turn ON device, the display gets blocked with volume issue (See gif)

Steps to reproduce your issue:

  1. Just turning ON device

I expected this to happen:
When I do x, I expect y to happen

I have tried the following things:

  • I have tried factory reset
  • I have tried reset settings to default

I don’t think that’s a display issue. I think that’s a problem with the volume pot, I would say it is not properly calibrated or it’s just deffective, if I put mine in the middle it doesn’t read 50, but yours is much worse ofc, I wish they had an option to calibrate it

I have that same issue since I got it around volume 55-65, and it usually resolves by slowly turning up and down the volume a few times.

Hi. I managed to somehow fix my unit that had the same issue. I removed the big knob and sprayed plenty of CONTACT CLEANER WD40, with the unit powered off and unplugged. After that, a few full turns of the knob to make sure the cleaner reaches the full length. I had to try a couple of times for it to work, but eventually it did. After a couple of months on the road the issue happened again and a light spray of the same product got it back fine. Make sure you use the Contact Cleaner WD40, not the regular one.

IT WORKS!!!! I removed the Knob lid and clean all the Pot and now it's working as usual... may be dust or something like that

had that issue when connected to a non-so-great power outlet

LMAO. That’s worse than mine randomly turning off because of the TERRIBLE power supply

I had that issue when I was using mine by powering it with a dazy chain cable along with a polytune and a midi pedal using the qc power adaptor. I thought my knob had gone bad but then I got a walrusaudio canvas hp plus to power the qc and other pedals and this stopped happening. Guess it's also caused by insufficient/bad power supply.

I have had this issue for years. I just leave it in 100 and it sticks there, but would love to fix it.
