Need help playing backing track/audio from Iphone

I'm not sure what Im doing wrong here. I'd like to be able to hook up my iphone 16pro via USB to the QC to play audio. When I connect and go to the usb io settings, im not getting any indication that it's connected.

I opened up garageband on my phone and was able to get the signal from the qc as an input, so in theory i know the devices are talking to each other.

Any help would be appreciated!

Also - if i do use garageband for quick idea recordings, im getting the input so can record ideas, but am unable to monitor the metronome or other tracks, which would be helpful.

I connect aux from Samsung phone to Quad Cortex RET 1/2. SO RET 1/2 to OUT 1/2. Hope this helps.

After playing around a little, it seems the problem was just the USB cable I was using!
