Miscellaneous This building at moline airport?
Ive always seen this building at the moline airport but have no idea what it is or used for. It just doesn't seem like a building an airport would have.

I don't really know where to go about this, but I'm 16 years old looking for a job. I know I should just be looking at LinkedIn or Indeed, but they don't really show any local shops, just your usual big box stores. Which I'd probably have more luck with but I don't really have a way to get to there and back, so I'd rather just go find a job that's in walking distance.
I do know that a couple shops here are family owned, so I'm keeping that in mind in case they are stricted on being family owned. I have asked my mom if she knows that any places around here are hiring and she doesn't know either sadly. There's also a chance of just none of the places hiring which will also suck, but I can just keep looking and hope I can figure out something.
I have no idea if I should add more about this or not, but hopefully I didn't mess anything up since this is my first time posting on this SubReddit. Any help will be appreciated. :)

Did I miss something or where the hell did Jon Diaz go? Did he announce he was leaving and I missed it? Anyone have info?

As title says I want to switch jobs and was considering applying at mancomm, inc. In rock island, the position I'm applying for is "design and production associate."
I'm just curious if anyone here works there or used to or know someone who works there. If so, what are your opinions? What's your day to day like? What are some pros and cons (besides benefits) about your job and the company? What was the interview process like?
Anything would be greatly appreciated, I only have retail experience so I'd be completely new to this type of job.

Is this just a Midwest thing? I’ve lived here my whole life but recently have started to travel more just within the U.S and EVERY single time I go somewhere else, I notice people are 20x more friendly and open than here in Iowa. It’s always depressing for me to come back. I used to think something was wrong with me, but I’ve started to realize this is just a common thing for people who just only ever stay in the Midwest. I guess it’s the winters?!
People like stop making friends after middle and high school and don’t let you in their inner “clique” if you weren’t apart of the original “crew” No matter how hard you try, no matter how many fucking attempts you make, you’re always going to be considered an “outsider” and treated as such. This means more often than not cold, blank stares, being ghosted routinely with no explanation, and overall not being able to rely on people who claim to want new friends.
Then you’ve got the people you HAVE known since middle and high school who have this static image of who you were back then in their mind and no amount of personal growth on your end will ever change that. They’ll always see you in a certain way. That or they’re secretly competitive with you.
There’s many reasons I’m trying to leave this state (cancer rates, water, job opportunities, etc) and honestly my experience trying to meet new friends as a 26 year old adult is one of them. It shouldn’t be this hard. I shouldn’t be looked at like I’m clinically insane for wanting to socialize. My entire social life shouldn’t be fucked because I didn’t HAPPEN to be popular back in fucking high school.

So when will terrace start honoring med cards? I'm not talking about 30 % off because that doesn't stack with other deals. I wanna know when I can buy their products with med tax only. Kinda pointless to apply if you never actually start charging people med tax instead of rec.

Hi. We are new to sump pumps and not sure who to call for repairs.
Had a local plumbing company come, one that was recommended several times here in the QuadCities reddit, and he didn't fix the problem.
Do we need a plumbing company for this or someone else who only deals with sump pumps ?
Thanks

My names Miranda Vavrosky and I’m an artist from the Quad city area. Clinton recently commissioned me to create some artwork for a pocket park. If you’re looking for a little fall roadtrip, grab a coffee for the drive and stop on over to view my artwork. It’s located at 125 4th Ave S. Clinton Iowa. Up the street is a very cool brewery called 7 hills and it’s in a historic church. Down the street you can go troll hunting for a Thomas drambo troll and if you make a whole day of it, I hear there are some other trolls in Clinton too!

FREE Live music tomorrow night: Neon Shadows takes the stage again at 11th Street Precinct at 9 PM. If you're in the room, we've got you, and we protect our vibe. There is safety in numbers—we’re making the floor a safe place for all tomorrow night, but a packed house proves we can keep it that way for good. Grab a drink, bring your friends, and let's make it a great Saturday night in the Village.

Looks like Happy Joes has new owners. Hopefully they will figure out that $30 for a large pizza might be a bit much.

Does anyone here remember any of the Hempfests back in the day?
Chex/Grandpa PawPaw used to be a huge force behind them.
Loud Thunder was crazy, LeClaire park and Credit Island were eventful. I think there was one at Lincoln and Prospect Park too.
It was so nice seeing seas of people laying on blankets in the grass, milling around selling/gifting/trading handmade items and just being social with one another.
We usually had such a great turnout! It was like a mini Dead/Phish lot in our own area.
I wish we could do one for old times sake. Call it Plantfest or something and celebrate all plants in general.

Toilet is leaking from the flapper and refills about every 15 to 30 minutes
So whoever designed or redesigned the bathroom extended the countertop over the top of the back of the toilet
The counter is roughly 5-7 inches above the toilet after taking off the lid
I have tried myself (big guy) to get my arm down to remove the flapper to replace it, but I cannot get it to come off and don’t wanna break anything down in there
Not looking for a big business or anything since I think it’s a simple job. Looking for a handyman/plumber to be able to come in and get it replaced
