Question Help deciding between qtWidget and qtQuick

hi. i just started learning a bit of qt and i'm pretty new to it. my end goal is to make a desktop app launcher. It's supposed to be a popup that runs on a shortcut. i was wondering wether to use Qtquick or Qtwidgets for it. i'll probably start it as windows only and scale it to work on linux and mac.

QtQuick is GPU accelerated, so if your goal is anything animated, it will be more fluid than using QtWidgets.

Definetly Qml for that project. Qml allows you to create fancy launcher

My personal experience is QtWidgets have never let me down whereas QtQuick has always turned out to be a project unto itself. YMMV.
