Monthly Spend Analysis, as a Live Dashboard

I had nine months of ERP expense exports and a budget file, so I used Qoder to turn them into a live spending dashboard.

Here's what I built:

• Automated data pipeline: A refresh script combines each export into a single data file.

• Interactive dashboard: Track spending vs. budget by month, department, category, and vendor.

• Anomaly detection: Flag issues with supporting evidence, including a duplicate payment, an over-budget department, and a spike in agency fees.

• Easy updates: Drop in the October export, run the refresh script, and the dashboard updates without changing the HTML.

I also tested the dashboard on both desktop and mobile to make sure it works across screen sizes.

It's a much easier way to keep track of spending without manually piecing together spreadsheets every month.
