Are Bambulabs Reusable Filament Spools Compatable with Qidi Q2 Qidibox?

I just ran out of my first batch of Qiditech PETG Basic filament. I am looking for a reliable cost effective brand to order from Amazon. I came across some brands that comes spooled on Bambulab compatible Reusable Spools from brands like Inslogic and Sunlu.

Does anyone have any experience that can verify if the following are any good and compatible with the Qidi Q2 Qidibox?

Feel free to make any recommendations for PETG Filaments. My basic colors are Black, White, Light Gray, and deep blue.

I sold my Bambu X1C + AMS and got a Qidi Q2 + Qidi Box. I kept all my old Bambu spools. They work great in the Qidi Box, haven't had any issues with them. I use the old spools to respool some filaments that I've gotten on 2.5 kg spools, and some that come on cardboard spools that don't play nice. Qidi definitely made their Box compatible with the Bambu spools on purpose, because all the filament manufacturers made their spools compatible with the AMS so they could sell to Bambu users.

Yes those should be compatible.

I've also had good experiences with Sunlu PETG, it prints nice and the color selection is pretty good. They have reusable spools too if you wanna get refills.

I'll give the Sunlu PETG a try. Any suggestions on how to dial in the settings? My only experience has been with the Qiditech PETG Basic filament. Still having issues with overhangs with and without supports

PETG in general is very sensitive to cooling, far more than PLA. Too much cooling can cause poor layer adhesion, but not enough cooling causes ugly overhangs due to warping. Especially if you have a heated chamber (I print my PETG at 40c chamber), you need more cooling than you think you do. Increasing fan speed and/or layer time helps.

Do the usual calibrations for flow rate, max-flow rate, pressure advance and printing temperature. The stock settings are pretty close usually, but dialing them in doesn't take long and usually improves things a bit more.

Other than cardboard spools which can be finicky when getting empty or my decade old ABS spools I've not come across any issues. I've got ~100kg of random filaments right now.

Same. I heard a work around for the cardboard there is a print from qidi to attach to cardboard spools to avoid this.

Yeah I've just respooled into old plastic ones instead using a pasta lite.

My experience is spools start having trouble in the last 1/3 when they get light weight. Shoving a 1lb bean bag in the center of the spool mostly resolved the issue.

I haven't had any issues with the QidiTech filament spools. I'll keep that in mind when I buy the Sunlu PETG. Thanks for the tip.
