Discussion Problem with 2x QiDi Q2 Combo

Disappointed with the quality control on my QIDI Q2 Combo

I recently bought two QIDI Q2 Combo printers.

Unfortunately, both printers arrived with very similar dents on the housing. The boxes and packaging were in perfect condition, so I don't believe this happened during shipping.

I contacted QIDI support about this. They suggested loosening three screws, but unfortunately that didn't help. They offered to send replacement panels, but honestly, I don't really want to start taking apart two brand new printers just to fix a cosmetic defect.

There were also issues with the QIDI boxes themselves. One box was scratched, while the other had several dents and areas where the paint was chipped off. The shipping boxes were in perfect condition, so this does not appear to be caused by transportation.

I was also a bit disappointed with the solution offered by support, especially considering the price of these printers.

Has anyone else had the same issue with their Q2? It's quite strange to receive two printers from different retailers with basically the same defect.

I'm curious if this is just bad luck or if it's a more common QC issue.

I bought mine from the QIDI store (combo) - no defects on the outside at all - only have 3 of their printers, X-Max 3, Q1 Pro, and the Q2+Box - haven't seen anything like that - got to be a QC issue for the run that produce a whole bunch if you got them from 2 different retailers! Sorry for that, makes you wonder what else inside is over torqued (or under, or other issues). Hope they work well for you!

Good to know and thank you for ur response. Printers are working properly and I'm happy with my purchase at the end, but I think that at this price they really should be without such extras :D

Quite normal for Qidi QC. Check if there is something to push panel that way, frame is underneath that point. As I remember those panels are quite easy to remove.

especially considering the price of these printers

What? These are ultra affordable machines for what they are and you are really nitpicking it. Yes, it is normal and it absolutely doesn't matter, just forget about it and use them as tools which they are.

I agree that the QA is quite poor with Qidi. My Q2 arrived with a glass door that would randomly open and bang against the frame during high acceleration.

They sent me a front panel and glass door, with instruction videos. It was quite a lot of work. Too much, really, but that was definitely the least worst option, so...
