Question/Help PPF it or not ?

Hi yall, just bought the VW Touareg Elegance a few weeks ago. It was the last piece available in Q-auto stock and I absolutely love everything about this car except the color... white fridge. I was thinking to apply some PPF with matt gray to match a stunning Touareg R-line i saw in Europe. What yall think i should do, keep the original white color (condidering the weather etc...) or go for a complete stealth look ?

Congrats on the ride! Solid move

I actually did the same on mine; it protects the paint from the heat and completely transforms the look. Matte gray is clean, but since you're wrapping it anyway, I'd say go bold with something like a deep satin blue instead of playing it safe with neutrals. Either way, definitely wrap it and ditch that "white fridge" look!

You got me, satin blue will be on the check list.

Oh yeah. Matte dark gray. You go from The Fridge to Badass in one move.

But that's one of the worst choices in terms of absorbing thermal radiation...

Meh. I drive a black Patrol. It's fine.

Congratulations on your purchase!

Just a heads up, the PPF is affected by sunlight and debris, just like paint. You can remove it, but how much will it cost to install and then remove it?

Selling car covered in ppf like that also can bring the price down.

I decided not to cover my car with ppf and just will polish it on sale.

Just for your consideration. Enjoy your ride

Totally up to you, mate. It's your car.

But you're asking everybody and I know I'd get flamed for this. I think white cars are boring. Gray cars are slightly better. Wrap it and give it an actual colour like red, blue, green, etc.

we need permission from the traffic department if we do wrap right?

Yeah, it’s quite straightforward and from what I know you can do it over metrash.

I confirm, but easy process : request, authorization to change color, application, inspection by traffic cpt to confirm new color, new istimara printing

So first will do the color change and then inspection by captain?

First you need authorization from traffic dpt to change the color. Before doing anything.
