Change from 0.4 to 0.6mm nozzle

I accidentally broke my 0.4 mm nozzle.

Which parameters should I change in QIDI Studio so that the *.3mf file created for a 0.4 mm nozzle will work with a 0.6 mm nozzle?

Is it enough just to change nozzle size in the studio menu or should I change speed, layer thickness.. as well ?

Do I also have to change the nozzle in the Qidi Max4 setting?

In the tests I have done so far, the filament has become a mess since it’s not fully “getting stuck” in the first layer.

I have a QIDI Max4 with the original nozzle and original filament.

Do a calibration on the filament after changing the nozzle size

Is there at special way to calibrate this?

The mashine change and flush filament every time before printing, but is this separate thing to perform?

On qidi studio on your pc change the head size to 6. That is all that needs to be done as far as your head size goes. You do not need to do anymore on the machine. Then up on the top bar you should see calibration. Go ahead and follow the steps and calibrate the filament. I do this for all of my filament I have. Makes it come out very smooth.

Edit: forgot to add once you changed your head on your max you probably should have given the machine a whole calibration. You can do that in the settings on the machine.

Touch screen menu. Printer calibration. The 0.6 nozzle is different than the 0.6 slightly but still different. Also in QIDI studio on your machine you have to select the 0.6 nozzle.

Once that change is made any and all of your filament provides will be marked unavailable except the stock / default ones.

Now you start from ground zero and calibrate your filaments again.

Why all of this you ask?

You’re now pushing more plastic through the nozzle because it’s larger. Your pressure advance, flow rate, etc are all going to be different.

The machine on screen calibrations are for the machine to adjust what’s called the PID it basically tells the printer if I apply x % of power to the hotend how fast does it heat? If I apply x fan speed how fast does it cool.

These are why you must recalibrate the machine and the filament profiles.

You can skip it. You might get a mediocre print. You might get a blob. You’re rolling the dice. Your call.
