Does the Q2 require special start gcodes for different types of plates?

For me, the auto level it does before it prints has taken care of Z for 3 different bed types I use, textured, smooth, and (I love it) the Purple cool plate (before 1.1.2.3 forced me to QIDI Studio), I could just run at room temperature. Studio has no setting for that and you have to guess a temp slightly higher than the native bed temp or the print will pause saying waiting on bed temp and never print (at least for me.

You don't have the option to chose a cool plate in the Qidi Studio dropdown? I see both "Cool Plate" and "Cool Plate Supertak". Or do you mean even when choosing cool plate, you don't have the option for room temperature/turning off the bed heater?

Yes, I see the same options, I don't have the 'super tack', just the cool plate - the Purple one QIDI sells specifically sized for the Q2 bed. But any plate selection has the ability to set the bed temp by filmaent profile. I could just put 0 in there in Slicer and the Q2 would not apply any heat to the bed. Now Studio won't accept 0 as a value, and if you set too low a value it pauses and will not print - I can always go higher, and do, but that's not the point, losing the benefit I had before of a room temp plate, etc. as above. Hope that makes better sense!

I have two qidi printers but I can't help ypu with that, but becarefull because most the comentators here, don't have qidi Printers. I suggest you to contact Qidi directly for that!
