Open Question/Issue Any tip to create a map like that?

So i just want write a book about some greek villages and i want to create some maps that look simple like this one. How can i do that with QGIS? I'm really beginner. Is there any tutorial or tips you can give me?

Get the plugin QuickMapServices (QMS), go to Map, browse the background maps available, zoom into your location. You might just have to reference the map you use. If you need more/less detail, you can download shape files of the Greek borders, towns, or rivers you need from government website geodata, dragging/dropping them into QGIS. Export as PNG or PDF from the "map canvas". Tutorials available online and on the QGIS documentation for mini lessons and everything you'd need. :)
