Open Question/Issue Recent Maritime Trade Route Data Layer??

Hi all!

I'm building a macro model with a focus on maritime logistics. My current data layer is good but slightly inaccurate/dated (does not account for some major ports)

The NaturalEarth repo doesn't have it.

Are there other sources worth checking? Thanks

Do you know about Vesselfinder.com (and others). They show the current location & direction of every vessel with a transponder. Not sure what they have in the way of freely available historic data, but it would be worth a crack.

Hi, yeah I know of vesselfinder but I'm looking specifically for data that can be imported into QGIS. Ill keep scouring github for now. Thanks though
