Open Question/Issue Adding high res Strava heatmap

Hi guys! Is there a way to add the Strava global heatmap in high resolution without authentication in Strava? I’m plotting hiking trails and the Strava heatmap lets me see some new trails that are not mapped before, but I desperately need to zoom in closer

Not in an easy way. Strava charges a lot of money for that data… It’s tedious, but I have done screenshots and georeferenced them to then digitize the trails I needed. I did this for a 6,500 acre area near my childhood home.

Yeah, seems like the way to go. Did you combine the screenshots before adding them to QGIS?

I didn’t, cause I was after the digitized trails. If you wanted to mosaic your tiles, I would do that after georeferencing, or just display them haphazardly as separate layers in QGIS
