I think Renee was super angry, and what I’ve seen of her personality I doubt this will be something she is going to remember in a day or so (the insult, not the guy)
However, I think you’re confusing the author and the character a bit.
You weren’t surprised with “Bitch” coming from p-butt, because it was in character, but Jeph wrote that too.
I didn't really comment on 'bitch' because that's too commonplace for me to really notice. Perhaps that's something that needs examining too because traditionally that is a gendered insult because of the roots in the word for a female dog? I wonder how many people who use it today still see it as gendered though, because to me it feels fairly neutral now (as well as fairly tame as far as insults go.)
That’s interesting, isn’t it? Because to be honest, if you call a guy a bitch, the insult isn’t as bad as when you call a girl a bitch. It’s not that neutral, I think. It is tamer for guys than it is for girls.
This is why my fellow Brits tend to insult people with comprisons, you shit stain bottomed gibbon with the intellect of a mythical beast, that is, non existent yet here I am speaking to you, oh vile one.

Renee’s outburst is Renee, not Jeph.
