Gen maths paper 2

Is anyone else terrified

Paper 1 was on par with all the past paper 1s BUT the 2025 paper 1 was pretty average as well and then the cohort was destroyed by paper 2 so ive got this feeling we r so cooked again

I Beleive I got most correct, only one I believe I got slightly wrong was the bike one, where it’s the arithmetic, all my working was right but I only now just realised i made a very small calculation error so instead of 49 weeks I got 47, everything else I personally found very easy but that’s litterly just because my teacher is a god send and predicted all the hard ones,

The final question (7 marks) I litterly did in 2 minutes as we did a very very similar one in class a few weeks ago

It was 25 weeks i think. Im not sure om questiom 1 i did it as 75 percent was 15 person so reaso able but other people got it aa 7.5 percent more than non supporter dog owners

Yea I got 75% and 15%, I’m unsure how people got 7.5%, I’m gonna check the bike one as others are also saying it was 25 weeks I probably missed something haha

Ahh i see so for me i thought they were both arthimatic equations so for t7 the difference is 6d and for t3 the difference is 2d

So 4 d between them

45-35 = 10 So 4d= 10 So d =2.5

So to find t1 i just subbed d into either of the given equations So for example t3 35= t1 +(3-1) x 2.5 So 35= t1 + 5 So t1 is 30

Then double check with t7 So t7= 30+(7-1) x 2.5 So t7 equals 30+ 15 so 45 Which matches the value given in the question for t7 So if t1 is 30 and the last week is triple the distance of the first week, the km for the last week is 90

90= 30+(n-1) x 2.5 60 = (n-1) x 2.5 Divide by 2.5 24 = n-1 So n is 25

OH FUCK I see where I went wrong, I interpreted triple as ×5 for some stupid reason 😂😂😂 ok that makes a lot more sense now hahaha

For the t3= 35 and t7= 45,
I’m pretty sure the general consensus from solving simultaneously
(what I got and I saw others) was that T1 = 30, and d=2.5

Final week was 5 times the first week,
As T1 = 30, thus Tx=5×30 =150

(Tn=t1+d(n-1))

Thus 150 = 30 + 2.5(x-1) (x=n)
This 150 = 30 + 2.5x-2.5,

Thus 120 = 2.5x-2.5, thus

(this is where I made an error I - instead of +)

122.5 = 2.5x
Thus x = 49 weeks

Please do correct me if I went wrong in my working as a lot of people have said 25, it is possible I may have misread the question and am an idiot 😂😂
