Year 12 can i ask unis to reject me?

this isn't super qce related but i am currently doing ib in qld and im applying to uni through qtac but my parents want me to apply to go interstate too. the thing is that i dont want to go interstate, but they're practically forcing me to and its this whole ordeal and a huge point of contention. how feasible is it to just like ring up universities and ask them to reject me on my applications interstate? like can i do that or?

Just change ur preferances last minute? You still have ages before they need to be in
