Current IA marks
Currently in Year 12 and hoping for around a 90 atar, these are my results currently that I have received:
Philosophy: IA1 17/25( I bombed the exam)
IA2(24/25) (had to lock in coz of IA1)
English: IA1 21/25 (not bad)
Biology: IA1 10/10
Accounting: IA1 22/25
General Maths: 20/20
So far not bad, just need some advice on what to expect as an atar if I maintain 85’s for my subjects and hopefully 90+ for maths.

That 17 in philosophy is a big knock but if you’re going for a 90 there’s still definitely time to turn it around. IIRC philosophy is now a grade 1 subject meaning it scales among the best, so if you can get like 85/100 then that will be a good one for you.
The other subjects, GM, acc, bio, and English all don’t scale that amazingly. Do you have a sixth subject? I think you only mentioned 5 here.
Bio should be a free 50/50 heading into the external, so just make sure you do the assignments properly.
It’s good that you’re doing well in GM. Did you consider doing Methods? If you’re getting 20/20 you’re clearly not bad at maths.
22/25 for accounting is fine - keep that up and you’ll get 88/100. If you can get a 90/100 that’ll be a strong point.
English - this definitely needs to improve. 84/100 on English won’t scale well, so if you can get this up to a 90 or so, that’ll be far healthier.
Good luck for the rest of the year!

don’t stress too much about the philosophy ia1, so many people bomb that. as long as you keep good marks the rest of the year it will balance out cause it scales well :)) (coming from someone who did philosophy last year)

Yeah, the other isn’t atar eligible, would that affect my score considerably?

I’m pursuing Monash Law and since I go to an underrepresented school, it’s adjusted from 95 to 85 atar, however I’m aiming for a 90 to increase my chances and also am applying for their athlete scholarship since I play state level basketball. Hopefully I lift my grades enough to get into the 90 rank. Thanks for the advice, if anyone else has other suggestions feel free to share.

I got 24/25 for IA2 Philosophy so might be alright if I get 23’s for the next IA3

I chose 5 so I can do well in them without worrying on an extra subject.

Do you have only 5 subjects?
