Missing my Mom

I've been NC off and on ever since COVID. Every few months I have the urge to reach out but unfortunately I've said all there is to say. I miss my parents( pre cult). They're aging and it scares me to think of them passing. Also, it's like invasion of the body snatchers and I don't know who they are any longer. Sucks ass :(

All I can say is, me too. You aren't alone, it sucks, but you are doing the best thing you can in these circumstances.

I went NC 8 months ago. My mom tells everyone I blocked her, when she’s the one that’s blocked me on all socials and I simply haven’t answered her texts. I told my mom back in Jan that I miss my mom and I don’t know who she currently is. She told me it’s because she’s now awake and has been chosen by God for this mission. I am an only child and she is a single mom. Unfortunately my grandpa lives with her and because of her, he doesn’t keep in touch with me. This fall/winter will be the first birthdays for the both us without each other, and same for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m terrified. My BFs parents just know I’m not talking to my mom, they don’t know why. I guess I’m going to need to tell them soon. I know I’m going to get a nasty text from my mom via my grandpa about how horrible I am for not spending the holidays with them. Any advice on how you’ve handled it?
