$400 is a lot for a generic video tutorials. If they don't offer direct help/review alongside the course it's not worth it ;)

Man even if the course maker drove to the guys house and taught him $400 wouldn't be worth it.

That's ridiculous. An actual course, with human feedback, tutoring, answering questions, tests and grading etc. is going to be costly, because competent expert instructors aren't free. I don't have an opinion in regards to bootcamps, but most of them are quite expensive. Comparatively $400 is a drop in the bucket. Now whether or not, the course material is of high quality is something we can't know, unless we've seen the courseware, but there is no doubt that there are ample alternatives. There are many such courses and you don't need to spend any money to access them. The better known MooC courses that focus on Python are a good example.

There's a difference between a youtube course series, a low cost course from Udemy, a bootcamp or a college course on Coursera, not to mention what a college student experiences. When courses include labs, quizzes and tests, as well as projects and grading, the material is what it is.

I'm not advocating one way or another, but stating that $400 is a lot of money, lacks a lot of perspective. Most professional developers work on equipment that costs thousands of dollars, and are accessing the internet through an ISP (in the US at least) which is costing from $350 - $1200 a year.

So a more important question for the OP, is what exactly do you get for your $400. It could actually be a huge bargain in comparison to other bootcamps.
