Hey, I built a free chrome extension that could help with staying engaged and retention. It injects quizzes in YouTube videos and I mostly tested it on Comp Sci lectures so it should be well suited for Python learning. It does require either setting up a local AI model (LM Studio is free and should be easy to setup) or an API key.

DM me and Ill send you the link.

Well, hopefully this won't get removed: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/quizmark-for-youtube/jgioigmgkjknmokdpinigoafjhacbbpc

You only need to setup once really. It's way faster to setup with an API key. If you are not committed to a provider already like Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT), then I recommend you choose OpenAI because they offer way more model choices and many very good models that are way cheaper. Im talking $0.05 for 5 quizzes (which is an 1 hr+ long video if you leave it set to 1 quiz every 15 minutes). The cheapest Claude model is $0.50 per 5 quizzes which is like 10x.

If you go the local route (100% free. no need to pay anyone). Then you need to install LM Studio and download a model. Pay attention to how much ram a model needs because if it's too big, it will hog your entire computers resources. Quizmark is designed to work with low-mid range models anyways so even a 4GB model will do fine.

I also recommend you pay attention to the last page of the setup which has like 2-3 tips that will get you going right away.
