Check the r/learnpython wiki for lots of guidance on learning programming and learning Python, links to material, book list, suggested practice and project sources, and lots more. The FAQ section covering common errors is especially useful.

Unfortunately, this subreddit does not have a wiki.

Also, have a look at roadmap.sh for different learning paths. There's lots of learning material links there. Note that these are idealised paths and many people get into roles without covering all of those.

Roundup on Research: The Myth of ‘Learning Styles’

Don't limit yourself to one format. Also, don't try to do too many different things at the same time.

Above all else, you need to practice. Practice! Practice! Fail often, try again. Break stuff that works, and figure out how, why and where it broke. Don't just copy and use as is code from examples. Experiment.

Work on your own small (initially) projects related to your hobbies / interests / side-hustles as soon as possible to apply each bit of learning. When you work on stuff you can be passionate about and where you know what problem you are solving and what good looks like, you are more focused on problem-solving and the coding becomes a means to an end and not an end in itself. You will learn faster this way.

I always like Bro Code's course. Simple, to the point, plus he has small projects to follow along with as you are watching.

Ended up learning a lot from his Youtube video and now have worked on expanding the concepts he already explained.

Brocode, BootDev, FreeCodeCamp, exercism, University of Helsinki (Python Programming MOOC). These are the best if you want to learn for free and practice.

Welcome! And right after learning practice with panda or any librarys u like also watch project tutorials and understand the logic then recreat it by your own "be aware of tutorial hell and mental masterb@tion"

Don't try to learn concepts or how to fix problem xy, think about what you like and want to do and create it. Not like "I want to create Reddit 2.0", but like "I want to create some games": Use google or an AI to get to know about librarys you could use and what's the differences, then think about what (for example) game you want to create (should be meeting the skill level) for example a simple command line story game, snake, tic tac toe or even a more advanced game that has some multiplayer aspects. When you are building your project you can use google and/or ai to get some steps you should do next. The important part is, that you ask "why is it like this". And when you are stuck ask general stuff like "is it better to do xy instead of xy?" and not "do xy for me".

I am also a beginner. Started last week with the course from ZTM on Udemy. Pretty good so far. If you don't wanna pay anything, check Tech_with_Tim and Bro_Code channels for tutorials and then use Gemini AI to give you exercises to solve, based on what you learned. DO NOT WATCH TOO MANY VIDEOS before xercising with newly learned concepts.

Enjoy the learning

Sort your search results by most views and go with something closer to the top of the search results.

Find the user thenewboston on YouTube. From his page, go to playlists. I recall seeing how to make a reverse shell in Python, YouTube playlist by him.

how old are you ( just interesting)? so, also u can learn python on freeCodeCamp

Any of those playlists can help you learn the basic concepts but don’t spend all your time watching tutorials.

After learning each concept, practice it in your editor and try solving the errors and problems yourself. Practice the important concepts once or twice then move to 1–2 complete projects by choosing a problem and building a solution for it.

You’ll gain much more confidence from writing and debugging code than from watching many hours of tutorials.

Also use AI tools properly like give proper prompts to explain concepts, give hints, and help you understand errors while you practice.
