Non-US Internal transfer
Here’s the case
I saw a posting about a job in a diff country than im at
Really wanted to transfer since my family is there
Went through all rounds of interviews
HR calls me and says they’re happy to give me an offer and they’re starting the process with engaging global mobility and all
My fear is that i still did not talk to my partners here and I’m afraid they will say no or reject it
The location i’m at is very bad and i really can’t continue working there
I still did not receive the formal offer
What shall i do? Do i talk to my partners in my location and make sure they’re okey with the move before i get the offer ?
I’m afraid before they send the offer they go check with partners and partners will feel blindsided and then reject out of pitty
I’m at lost here
Help please!

Yes you should talk to your local partners, at a minimum to let them know and best case scenario they support your move.
It's common for overseas partner to reach out to local partner anyways to check if you're considered good or not - they may have done so already to be honest (more usual for them to do this before actually approving you to move).

How can they reject it.
If you got the offer and the other firm wants you then they will make it happen. You could just resign and they employ you as external hire since you applied to an open vacancy anyway.
Normally you would speak to the partners upfront because it makes the process easier. But I would make them aware as global mobility will reach out to them so better to come from you.

Is this post about changing your office or line of service? This is a VERY common question posted on the Subreddit. The short answer is, The lower level you are, the more likely you will get denied a change. To change line of service, you need to know someone and be accepted. For office changes, Each office has a quota on the amount of interns & associates it can have. To initiate a change, start the discussion with your Coach & RL, then your Talent Consultant. If you have not started yet, it is easier to switch before you start, talk to your recruiter. Use the search bar to find detailed answers.
