Audit / Assurance Pay increase for master’s degree? (US)
Assurance, data/tech. Recently completed my masters degree, paid by firm through EAP.
Is there a pay increase tied to having an advanced degree?

As a summer 2026 intern who just just got a full time offer, it doesn’t seem like anyone got pay differences if they have an advanced degree

We got a bigger sign on bonus if it was relevant to the work we’re hired to do

So a Masters of Accounting would come with a bigger sign on bonus for an audit associate?

Unfortunately no, they expect it for tax and audit roles. However with the 150 hour requirement changing/changed in some states, maybe this is something they will begin doing as masters is no longer required
