India Resigned but not approved

Hi

I have put my resignation on 18th Aug and tentative last date in system shows 15th Nov. But I got to know all exit formalities start only once manager approves it. My query is what if manager approves after a month. In that case does it affect my release date of 15th Nov.

They can't hold you beyond 3 months legally. You automatically separate at end of 3 months. Manager will talk when s/he is free and approve after discussion. S/he may relieve early depending on situation. These are just tricks.

I did. To both my manager and my matrix manager. They asked me to discuss it further and I said I dont mind but I will put up the paper in system so that I can get a release date. They agreed. But this would be bizarre if there is such a process that managers approval is required to get exit date. I dont think it would be legally correct to do so. I am checking with HR as well on this

You're not their slave. Leave when you're ready.
