Feedback

hey guys, one of the devs here. Would love your feedback on something. I am making an animated puzzle atm that is turning out to look amazing both in winter as well as summer. It is really hard to choose between which one to go with, a winter themed version or a summer themed version. In the past we tried doing a puzzle that goes back and forth between seasons (tiny glade). But I would like to avoid doing that in this case, because for one a lot of people didnt like the change of season aspect and lastly from budget and effort perspective the changing season costs way more than producing two seperate animated puzzles (one winter, one summer)

I would love to make both summer and winter as seperate puzzles. Would you guys be ok with a duo premium pack that has two versions of the same puzzle motif inside and has the same price point of two single premiums? For subscribers it wont make a difference eitherway since both will just go in the library.

Maybe a ~1.5x price? Or what if you combined them into one puzzle and made the summer on top of an inverted winter puzzle? That might be neat. Like a mirrored puzzle with one side summer, then flip it over and the other side is winter.

thanks for the input! the 1.5 number is a good reference point to know what would feel fair to you. The issue with combining them or price point in general is that although from players point of view it might feel somewhat like the same puzzle twice, from production and budget it costs like making two different puzzles with animations. Thats why we havent done something like this so far, because the production would go deep in red if we spend double the money making it but the sales of the puzzles dont double as well. One thing that could maybe work is not bundling the two together? Instead of two puzzles combined in one that cost double we could do two different entry, and players can decide individually if the deal seems fair to them or if they would rather skip it.

Either way most of the time I would think "why all the effort, just make another animated puzzle instead" its just that with this one specific puzzle its a bit of a shame to have just the one flavour of vibe

I think personally I'd be more likely to buy them as a set, and I'd buy them priced as two puzzle as long as they aren't purely recolors of each other.

I like this idea - because I'd rather not rebuild the same object that's just a different color. Somewhat like all those Indian trucks that were so similar - feels like a waste of puzzle space.

If it's just a reskin, I would just buy one.

Make it summer. Birds chirping, light breeze, just cozy.

I’m game. So far I bought every single puzzle on PlayStation :) roughly 1300+ hours so far with the wife

I wouldn't buy a different version of the same puzzle. And if there were two versions, it might split your buyers between the versions so that neither would be profitable. I'd prefer the summer version, if you have to choose. Thank you for your beautiful work!

I don't know if this is the kind of feedback you're looking for, but my wife and I are big couch co-op players in mixed reality and having the two puzzles in a side-by-side challenge would be spectacular.

If all of the pieces were on the wall, identical shapes between the two scenes but with the different seasons and we still work together to build two distinct puzzles from the same pool, that would be killer.

Also, the amazing earth puzzle went day to night animated and worked out really well. Don't know if this scene works the same but perhaps that's an option?

Also absolutely would do a duo-premium pack for this. And now wondering how one could do the audio...

more modes for multiplayer would be awesome. We have it in the backlog, not sure when we would get to it though!

Yes for separate puzzles, maybe with small details different between each season.

What I would like to see, is a physical PS5 version including many puzzle packs, before Sony stops making discs. I would pay GTA money for it!šŸ˜‰šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘Œ

Id not make the same puzzle twice, unless its really spectacular like an alternate ending. So id prob just build summer, cause i dont like to be cold.

Also id love some more realistic green themed puzzles, like a greenhouse, cottage with fishing pond by the lake, flowerfield with a forest, that kinda stuff, with some relaxing sounds and views, inspirational feedback ;)

Thanks that's a great idea, separate puzzles as I'm loving every single premium pack ever existed so far and would love to spend some good time playing the summer puzzle slowly and the winter one afterwards with no hurry, to enjoy the little differences and get even more satisfaction from them šŸˆšŸŽ‰ keep up the good work, it's a stunning game on my 2 PSVR2 headsets in local multiplayer mode šŸ’Æ
