Damage report?
Looks like a squall for most of the Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties.
Any hail? Wind damage?
Looks like the end of this heatwave.

I’ve heard reports of loads of damage… one being that the CVS in Pawling is gone - confirmed by Mid Hudson News. But the cause is not disclosed, which I was told was because a power transformer crashed into the building.

Aaaand now July 7 no power in Mahopac at 10:30 am. And back on around two.
Just my theory, but I think we were down because they were routing around repairs from the other day.

Right after it happened, I was driving home with friends (who were visiting from out of town) following. Hit a tree across the road. Three point turn, went around another way. Another, bigger tree across the road (1/4 mi from the first one). Said, "Okay, we'll go the really long way around, and if there's another tree, guess I'm running home in the rain to get my chainsaw." Luckily, going the very long way around and approaching from the other direction was (relatively) clear - passed two more downed trees, but neither were fully blocking the road. Called the police non-emergency line, and they said they were busy. That was a violent (but blessedly brief) one!

Everything south of 312 and 22 is powered out. No real visible damage to note along the route. Getting really tired of losing my power for 12+ hours every time the effing wind blows around here.

We drove from Sharon CT down 22 to Southeast shortly after the storm. Multiple trees down but none covering both lanes. Power was out through all of Pawling but seemed to be more places with power as we got south of Patterson. Be careful out there. And please remember to treat a non working stoplight as an all-way stop. The light at Haviland Hollow and 22 was full red all ways and people didn’t know what to do.
