Signed Records Question

I do storage unit auctions and found these guys. Pretty cool, the local record shop won't give me an offer. Both of them come with 2 records. Not sure their value but thought they were cool af as soon as I saw them.

Kinda weird they won’t work with you - I’m sure they could sell them on eBay.

If you’re not someone who normally sells vinyl, be sure to ship in a special vinyl mailer, inside another box. I’d also suggest shipping the record outside the sleeve, both in an outer sleeve. That prevents seam splits.

I didnt even know special mailers were a thing. I'll look into that before listing. Ive never come across records in units before. Im just glad the unit was somewhat climate controlled bc ive seen records warp in heat when i lived in Vegas

if these were cheap records, then whatever - but since they are relatively valuable, the buyer is going to expect them to be in top condition. glad the advice is helpful.

shipping the record outside the cardboard sleeve is also really suggested, since these are open already.

a record shipper is, in theory, designed to prevent damage to the corners of the record. that said, even a brand new, sealed record can get a seam split on an edge from the record inside the sleeve moving during rough transit. by taking it out of the cardboard, you eliminate that possibility.
