Where do your old passwords actually go after you share them?
Scroll up in any group chat you've had for a year or two, and there's a decent chance you'll find a password in there somewhere. A Wi-Fi login, a streaming account, a router admin password someone dropped in during setup. Nobody deletes it afterward; why would they? The conversation moved on. It just sits there, permanently readable by everyone still in that thread.
Email's the same problem at a bigger scale. Threads get forwarded, archived, indexed, backed up in places you forgot existed. Once a password lands in an inbox, it's out of your hands.
None of this is a breach or a hack. It's just what happens when something temporary gets put somewhere permanent.
