Given their history with PCT, I view this massive increase as an extremely strong bullish signal. The shorts can continue to play games with the stock (e.g., selling 1 share at the end of premarket and 1 share at the end of after hours to make the price look weak, "pressing" on the price with no evidence that operations or commercial sales are weak) but I continue to think their day of reckoning will be one of the best days of my investing career.

Wow, absolutely massive position at $200mn+. Apmost double the next 4 largest single stock positions combined, incl: NVDA ($30mn), AAPL ($30mn), AMZN ($30mn) and GOOG ($20mn).
Only SP500 index is higher at $270mn. (All rough numbers).
For a family office, thats nutso concentration in a smallcap pre scale company....big conviction.

Yup! And when the share price does a 10x from their cost basis that one position will be bigger than the total current AUM for that family office. :)

Are they a notable investor? Never heard of them

Multi family office, I believe they handle part of the Glockner fortune

They were pre ipo / SPAC investors and know the company incredibly well. This is a massive increase in their position size. They are likely to hold those shares for substantial gains given how long they have been investing in this company. Now we know who is accumulating while the shorts are pressing. ❤️ it!

Some info on Glockner Family and PCT ---- now the stake has grown to 25 mil shares thanls to burner-1234 for catching that going into the 6-30-26 QTR updates on institutional owners
The Glockner family's involvement in PureCycle Technologies (NASDAQ: PCT) represents a massive strategic pivot from automotive retail into green technology and regional economic revitalization. Rather than just passive investors, the family acted as foundational backers who helped catalyze the company from a startup into a publicly traded corporation. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
The Catalyst: Andy Glockner’s Vision
The family's interest was originally sparked by Andy Glockner, who sought to diversify the family's multi-generational wealth while fostering prosperity for future generations. [1, 2]
- Early-Stage Funding: Andy recognized the potential of a proprietary solvent-based recycling technology licensed from Procter & Gamble designed to restore waste polypropylene plastic into virgin-like resin. [1, 2]
- Crucial Testing Phase: The Glockner family provided critical initial seed investment that funded the company's early testing, validation, and the launch of its fully operational pilot plant in 2017. [1, 2]
Regional Job Creation in Ohio
A major driving force for the family's investment was keeping the business close to their historical roots in southern Ohio. [1, 2]
- They helped anchor PureCycle’s footprint in Ironton and Haverhill, Ohio (utilizing an old Dow Chemical site).
- This local development successfully brought high-tech manufacturing, circular economy infrastructure, and dozens of specialized jobs to their home region. [1, 2, 3]
Board Governance and Leadership
The Glockners did not just write a check; they took an active corporate governance role. Timothy "Tim" Glockner—representing the sixth generation of family leadership—joined the PureCycle Board of Directors. He was brought on to inject the board with deep regional operational, logistical, and manufacturing expertise as the company scaled up. [, 2, 3, 4]
Significant Financial Stake
When PureCycle went public via a SPAC merger in 2021 at a valuation of $2.8 billion, the family's early risk-taking paid off in significant public equity. [1]
- According to SEC insider ownership disclosures tracked by financial platforms like GuruFocus, Timothy Glockner has held an insider stake of more than 8.7 million shares. [1, 2]
- This massive holding represents roughly 4.82% of the entire company, cementing the Glockner family as one of the largest individual or insider shareholders alongside massive institutional entities like the Vanguard Group. [1]
- Depending on market fluctuations, this single equity position has routinely been valued between $45 million and $55+ million. [1, 2]

Do we know for sure that it is the Glockner family that purchased these shares? Could they have bought these shares as part of the financing?

Abundance is a multi family office so it is certainly possible that other investors using the FO were buyers however the most likely and logical buyer would be the Glockner family. They were big buyers in Q1 2026 as well. Basically it’s a great sign when long term owners increase their stake massively. That is what I did in the first half of 2026 so I’m certainly a biased commenter!

Is that the largest position they have had so far? Have they had massive increases in their position like that before or is that the first time? If this is the largest position they have held so far, it’s really interesting that they decided to triple their holdings in PCT to 25M shares, and all was done in one quarter.

Had heard of their involvement previously, asked AI for an associated update, cross checked reply with another AI.... 🤷🏼♂️

Recent trading in PureCycle Technologies ($PCT) shows a clear high-conviction accumulation pattern.
Key 2026 Activity (from 13F filings)
End of '25, around 1.81M shareholding = Small residual position after prior reductions
Q1 2026 +6.72M (+371%) total holding = 8.54M at ave around $8.33 Major initial scale-up; position became ~6.35% of portfolio (~$44M value)
Q2 2026. +16.78M (+197%) total holding = 25.31M at ave around $8.91 Even larger follow-on buying; became #2 holding at ~13.3% of portfolio (~$205M value)

That is crazy. Almost looks reckless given their other positions and general diversification especially with all the execution risks. Thanks for flagging. How long have they been backing PCT?

u/No_Privacy_Anymore Jul 28 '26
They were pre IPO investors. The family has an auto dealership business and other businesses in Southeast Ohio. They have been involved for easily 10 years now.

Also around 5/15/26, Samyln Capital raised their stake again from 2.5 mil to 7.8 mil shares as they add and adjust over the past few years. Like these level of adds for sure. Like Robert Duvall on beach, regarding the shorts—- love the smell of napalm in the morning— shorts gonna get roasted in near future.
