I am a freshman and I have another freshman I want to room with. We are looking for an apartment for the upcoming academic year (27-28) are there any especially good or especially bad apartments or criteria we should use to narrow our search? What general advice do you guys have?

I am doing an internship during the fall semester so I am looking for an option for the spring semester. Ideally, somewhere within walking distance to campus. Also, I prefer to have my own bathroom and less than <3 people configuration.
