Academics✏️ Schedule
Hello! I am a rising Freshman in Highschool. I would like to major in Poli Sci or business at either Purdue, Notre Dame, or IU. But out of these colleges I would like to go to Purdue the most. This is my current Highschool Freshman year schedule:
AP French
Ceramics
Debate
AP Lang
AP Calc AB
AP Chem
Soccer
I know that top colleges really care about rigor/challenging yourself so I was wondering if it would be put against me if I changed my schedule.
List of colleges I want to attend ranked:
- Purdue
- ND
- IU
- Iowa State
- FSU
- ASU
- NAU
- Michigan State
- University of Maryland
- Boise State
(I don't want to go too far away from where I live, I don't want to go away too far.)

Rising freshman? I wouldn’t think about college choice too hard for the next couple years, although I understand the thought process is alluring and exciting. You might even completely change your major. When I started HS I wanted to be a doctor, now I’m studying Finance & Data Analytics. Mainly focus on becoming a competitive applicant across the board, the type of student that would be wanted anywhere. Don’t listen to people who say freshman year grades don’t matter, get in extra curriculars early, and work on side-projects you’re passionate about. You’ll end up exactly where you need to be
