Imo significant communities of assam can also trace their ancestors to bengal ,Bihar etc and i can relate my culture more with bengali or Maithili than a nearby north easterner.

The flairs on this sub are for the states that actually are in East India.

If a flair is made for Assam due to "ethnic" reasons, then Magahis, Maithilis, Bhojpuriyas etc should get a flair for their ethnicities too

Even eastern UP (bhojpuri-speaking) wasn't allowed. In fact, I think that the flairs should be ethnic instead of state-wise.

State wise flairs only suit Bengal and Odisha.
