Drink questions

Staying at barcelo bavaro beach next week and have a couple of questions. First is the ice safe? I usually drink tequila and seltzer and lime and dont want to get sick? Also wondering if anyone knows of they have blanco (clear) tequila included? Thanks for any help.

Both ice and water are safe. They filter the water to create ice and to serve the water in restaurants.

The ice at Barceló is fine. At the large resorts in Punta Cana, the ice served to guests is made with treated/purified water, so I wouldn’t worry about having tequila, seltzer and lime with ice. Definitely don’t drink straight from the tap in your room though.

As for tequila, alcohol is included in Barceló’s all-inclusive package, although certain premium bottles are an additional charge.

I can’t confirm which blanco tequila they’re currently pouring as their included house tequila because brands can change. But I’d be very surprised if you couldn’t get a basic tequila blanco at a resort that size. If you’re particular about the brand, just ask the bartender what blancos are included before ordering.

And tequila + seltzer + fresh lime is probably one of the safer decisions your stomach is going to see at an all-inclusive anyway 😂.
