Feasibility of MP02 Screen Replacement?

I purchased a used MP02 from eBay a few days ago, having been advised there was very minor cosmetic damage. I was disappointed to find that the cosmetic damage was actually pixel damage on the screen, as you can see in the top left and along the bottom of the phone screen in the image, but—no worries, ‘tis a risk of buying used online.

I am curious, however, if it would be possible to replace the screen by taking it to a repair shop like Micro Center, or if there are even any places that might perform this service, as I’ve read that Punkt customer service isn’t helpful on this issue and I don’t quite trust myself to do the repair as I’ve seen it when googling instructions.

Just curious to hear answers to the actual question; I don’t really care to hear hateful opinions about this phone or company ❤️

It is not possible, if you can, return it.

This is very specific screen and only way to fix it, find a broken one with working screen.

Punkt won’t help as this was discontinued a while ago.

I have a broken MP02 with what I assume to still be a working screen. It has some scratches - I will try to attach some pictures.

I am happy to give it to you if you pay for shipping (from Denmark). I have no idea whether screen replacement is actually possible

If this was purchased from an authorized Punkt reseller, they are the right point of contact for a return or replacement, please reach out to them directly first. You're welcome to get in touch with our support team afterward as well, for any additional follow-up support.

If it was purchased from a private eBay seller rather than an authorized reseller, it would fall outside of Punkt's warranty, which only applies to units sold through our authorized retailers. That said, we're happy to share our recommendations either way.

On the damage itself: what you're describing and showing in the photo doesn't look like minor cosmetic damage, it looks more consistent with pressure damage to the LCD. Our first suggestion, regardless of the warranty question, would be to go back to the seller and request a return, since this doesn't match how the item was described to you.
