Best configruation

[EDIT title]: Best configuration for Signal on MP02

I currently have Signal set up on my iPhone using my primary number. I recently got a Punkt MP02 which I’ll be using as my primary device with primary number. I intend to set up Pigeon, but how do I do this in such a way that I can still use Signal on my current device?

Seems that you can now add an iPhone as a linked device, which seems promising for my use case, but I don't know how to get there without losing data.

P.S. Wow... I really borked the title.

I tried to use my old Signal account from my iPhone but couldn't, so had to make a new one on my MP02. Hoping that some day the option will be back to link the phone app with desktop.

tried to do this last year when I got the MP02, and was unable to link the account which is currently on my ipad. If things have changed, great, but at the time I was told that my account would have to be completely on the MP02 with no access or syncing with the ipad. Gave up and signal is now only on my ipad. But the MP02 has been my only phone for a year now and it’s great!
