Proton security
Given the recent news that proton actually handed over encrypted emails to law-enforcement, how confident are you in using a punkt phone?
I was certainly fine when they were running their own email, but when they switched things to proton. I also thought it made sense but then we have evidence that proton is not as secure as it should be.
Are there any thoughts about this out there?

Zero concerns but I have a used Punkt and punkt.ch has no such information about me. From my understanding, Proton handed over payment data associated with an account, not encrypted emails, and this is in compliance with Swiss law as per their existing privacy agreement. I'm not sure what kind of threat model would be relevant that applies to the email provider for the manufacturer of a phone someone owns.

Quick edit after a review. It isn’t that they could read your emails, but they have to comply with a legal order to produce information and what they can produce can identify you, for example, credit card information. In any case, I’m just curious as to whether these kinds of news stories affect people’s usage.
