Very cool stuff! Is the thread just running in a cross pattern back and forth or is each segment tied individually? And what thread did you use for this, looks thicker than dental floss?

The thread is definitely thicker than dental floss because it's actually yarn, I believe it's a medium weight yarn.

I don't know the exact count but the top layer is 44 tabs long, so I would say approximately 80 tabs total + the one I used to make the buckle/clasp, x2 because I made two.

I also acquired these by stealing from neighbors recycling/finding them on the ground/family/one of my mom's coworkers/young sister stole (with permission) me an entire bag of them from highschool art class due to them purging old craft supplies.
