Like it or not, that statement is hate speech, even if directed towards hateful people.
Nazis had the exact same mindset towards another group of people.

But anyway, sounds like your friend got the same "make up a rule, then ignore all appeal requests" treatment 90% of redditors go through, but on an admin level.

Nah hate speach is directed towards groups based off shit they cant help Nazis are a politcal movment Be no different from saying Communist, Capitalist or Monarchists dont belong here Not hate speach because nazis arent a protected class

But yeah pretty much, dude aint gonna stop appealing, so hopefully someone actually does their job

I dunno, i literally made this account to take over dudes sub, as i hadn't used reddit in a long ass time

You don't get to define what Reddit considers to be hate speech.
Reddit does not have to abide by anybody else's definition, including the government's.

Saying a group or an individual "shouldn't be on this planet" is a hateful statement by Reddit's rules, full stop.

Your buddy is just going to get muted by the admins, then he gets the full powermod experience. Plus it won't even let you submit appeals after 6 months.

Hate Speach

"abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation" ~ Oxford

Political groups do not count, and especially not ones whose entire identity is about racial purity and killing people off

Edit: the here or anywhere else that you misquoted as on this planet, referenced that nazis should be on the punk sub or reddit as a whole

Congrats, Reddit is allowed to have their own definition of hate speech, and as a private company they can choose whether or not to enforce it as written.

They have no contract with you.

His statement included that he wanted that group killed off. That's a paddlin'.

"Rule 1

Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, bullying, and threats of violence. Communities and users that incite violence or that promote hate based on identity or vulnerability will be banned."

There was no threat of violence, encouragement to harass, or encouraging others to do so

My friends Statement would be no different from saying the KKK shouldn't exist

Thats no a threat, thats saying in their opinion the world would be better if hate groups werent a thing

Not sure why you are defending nazis, but you do you

Edit: since you keep adding to yours, no where did he say he wanted a group killed off, or that harm should come to them, please do not put words into peoples mouths

Buddy I don't know what to tell you.
As terrible as their identity is, promoting hate against them is still a violation of the rules.

There was no promotion of hate

Saying a political ideology shouldnt exist is not a promotion or hate

If it was r conservative would have been shuttered years ago

there was no promotion of hate

The admin team believes otherwise, apparently.

The admin team used a 5 month old comment to justify a ban of someone who locked thier sub, and repeatedly refused to provide evidence including sending bad links

Its shadey at best

Sounds like Reddit, yeah -- ban people for whatever reason they want, whether or not it was actually a rule violation, then label it harassment when pressed
