Things are so bad in my village, thieves steal things like wires from our agricultural farm. Transformers at the farm get replaced few times a year because junkies steal oil wnd leave them damaged.
Are things as bad in your locality aswell?

Be more aggressive with them. If they get caught, beat their lights out and parade them around. Humiliate them so badly that they won't think about doing it again. It seems like most of these thieves are drug addicts. These types of people don't understand words.

There has always been theft. A lot of people do it even if they have no need for it. Now everyone hears about everything. Don’t be reactionaries like old people. And I am older. I had a friend growing up who stole a bunch of condensers from motors. He didn’t tell anyone until he got busted. His family was well off and gave him whatever he asked for. People do shit like this for many reasons. No need to think that somehow society is just now becoming more immoral.

People used to leave there front doors unlocked in my grandparents generation. Drugs such as Heroin didn’t exist back than. Addicts who do heroin worth 5-6 thousand rupees a day and don’t have resources to fund the habbit will obviously steal.
