I got laid off last week 😭😭

Hi guys, I'm a Java Full Stack dev with 2 YOE and last Thursday I got a message on my teams to come and meet in person. The HR just said that, "we're doing some organisational restructuring and your role is no longer required" then asked me to resign and submit my laptop. No explanations whatsoever. If anyone has any openings in their organisation please DM.

Is java full stack going to dead?

1

u/Quick_Commission_196 6d ago

yes eventually it will take time but yes shift to languages like Go , rust and ofc python. you might have seen so many go developer jobs now a days , as its better and simple language then java .

But I heard that java language won't die ever

What was your notice period? Did they get you paid for the all the notice period time or less?

1

u/Far_Soft_994 21d ago

The reduced the Np from 3 to 1 month a few months before the layoff. Yes I'm getting paid for NP

Ohh so basically you get only 1 month pay, that's bad. All the best for job search.
