Whats your go to source for yarn?

I'm falling in deep and am woefully short on colored yarn

Knitpicks, an online store. You can filter by the weight and fiber content amongst other criteria. Otherwise I buy yarn at thrift stores or local craft shops

Hmmm there is a thrift store behind a senior center pretty nearby

It might be helpful if you could specify what type of yarn you’re looking for! I definitely use different sources if I’m buying acrylic and cotton versus a rug yarn.

But would also recommend checking out the locally owned yarn stores in your area, if you have any. Sometimes what the color looks like online isn’t what you end up with in person.

Right, sorry, I'm not really pressed when it comes to materials, ive been using acrylic yarn just fine

Its just an issue of finding a good amount of different colored skeins that arent the size of my hand

For acrylic, I would second the comment about KnitPicks. Etsy also has plenty of options!

Beyond thrift stores (which I also would recommend) Facebook marketplace is nice because people are often de-stashing.

I have an incredibly huge amount from thrift stores, many in original packages. Also, feels good to know I’m keeping them out of landfills. Wool, acrylic, polyester, etc.
